Sinopsis Film Doctor Sleep 2019
Doctor Sleep 2019 tells the story of an adult Danny Torrance who is struggling to find peace. Previously he was traumatized when he saw his father went crazy after the incident in his first film. His struggle for calm became complicated and frightening when he met Abra, a woman who worked in a hospital. Abra is brave and has a talent called "ray". While Danny himself has psychic powers but also becomes a drunkard like his father. They both will face Rose the Hat, the role of the merciless antagonist, along with his followers, The True Knot. This battle between life and death urges Danny to summon the hidden power from within him which at the same time forces him to face memories of his terrible past. The film is played by Ewan McGregor, Rebecca Ferguson, and Kyliegh Curran. According to Mike Flanagan as the director, this film is called not only to restore the horror of the first film, but also the iconic moments in the film.Doctor Sleep 2019 berkisah tentang Danny Torrance dewasa yang tengah berjuang untuk menemukan kedamaian. Sebelumnya dia mengalami trauma saat melihat ayahnya menjadi gila paska kejadian di film pertamanya. Perjuangannya menuju ketenangan menjadi rumit dan menyeramkan ketika dia bertemu Abra, seorang perempuan yang bekerja di sebuah rumah sakit. Abra seorang pemberani dan memiliki bakat yang disebut sebagai “sinar”. Sementara Danny sendiri memiliki kekuatan psikis tetapi juga menjadi pemabuk seperti ayahnya. Mereka berdua akan menghadapi Rose the Hat, peran antagonis tanpa belas kasihan, beserta para pengikutnya, The True Knot. Pertempuran antara hidup dan mati ini mendesak Danny untuk memanggil kekuatan tersembunyi dari dalam dirinya yang sekaligus memaksa dia untuk menghadapi kenangan dari masa lalunya yang mengerikan.
